What's Happening

Good afternoon PHS Family. I have three things that I want to get out to you in this very important message. First all students taking Edmentum classes such as Career Preparedness, Health, or classes in your credit recovery you may continue working on these classes while at home. Credit Recovery is very important going in to the next school year and very important to those that are candidates for this years graduation. You may also continue working on your ACCESS Distance Education classes. We encourage all students to keep up to date on the Blount County Board of Education website (blountboe.net)as well as the PHS website (penningtontigers.com).
Secondly, students and parents wondering about our their Junior/ Senior prom, We have temporarily rescheduled our prom at the same venue for Thursday night April 16th, providing we will be back in school before this time. As of this moment, I doesn't appear that we will have to make up any of the days that will be missed through April 3rd.
Thirdly, all meetings and events at PHS have been canceled until April 6th. This includes the Dual Enrollment meeting that was scheduled for this Thursday night, March 19th. Ms. Copeland, as well as all of your teachers ask that students keep up with your school email and teacher Reminds during these next few weeks. Ms. Copeland will be emailing out scholarship opportunities and updated deadlines to Seniors as they are known to her.
Stay Safe and God Bless to all of our PHS family
Senior yearbook ad information: If you will email your info to jbpyearbook@gmail.com we can get everything we need. As far as the deadline for the money it will be extended to April 6th. Students taking Career Preparedness, Health, or classes for Credit Recovery may continue working from home to complete these courses. You can email your teachers or Mr. Bryson for assistance with these classes.

On April 2nd a representative from UA early college will be here to meet with all 10th and 11th graders.  We will do this at 1:00pm in the auditorium.

‚ÄčPrincipal's Message to Class of 2019

Class of 2019, I implore you; please do not fight for the "cause of the day," without exhausting all measures of honest reflection and discernment. I plead with you to not suffer moral decay without a fight and don’t allow your hard work to be shared with those who do not choose your work ethic and your desired path to success.
