Coffee and and Hot Chocolate is for sale in the library for $2.

Mrs. McHan would like to publish book reviews on the Library Media page.  Please submit them to amchan@blountboe.net.  She plans to choose 1 a week and the chosen review will receive a free coffee!

Today’s menu will be a Wow Butter Sandwich, Assorted Chips, Combo Sandwich, Jambalaya, Rice, Mini Biscuit, Beans, Garden Salad, Creamy Ranch, Fresh Fruit, Chilled Pears and Milk.

The library has books for sale this week priced at $1-$2.  Come check it out!

The GYM will be hosting a Lifeguard Training Class beginning December 20th.  The class will be taught over Christmas break. Call 205-625-5060 for more information on dates and times.   We will be doing recertifications during this class as well.

All books must be returned to the library by Wednesday December 19th.

Blountsville Christmas parade is tonight at 7pm.

Tri-M Music Honor Society – They will be sponsoring a canned food drive.  Any non-perishable items can be donated. This includes canned goods, dried fruits, beans, and pasta.  Items will be taken to the Hope House in Blountsville to benefit people in our local community.


Upcoming Basketball Games

JVB, VG, and VB play at home tomorrow vs. Oneonta.  Games start at 3 pm.

Thursday the VB have the St. Bernard Christmas Tourney.  TBA

VB, JVG, and VG play away Friday vs. Locust Fork.  Games start at 11 am.

Senior Yearbook Ads- Please let Mrs. McHan know if you plan on purchasing a senior ad for the yearbook. She has extended the due date to January 31st. The yearbook staff has to let the publisher know how many pages for senior ads. They are asking for $20 to reserve your space in the book. See Mrs. McHan for forms. The remaining amount is due January 31st along with all pictures.


Indoor track will meet in Coach McHan's room after school.  Practice will be Monday-Thursday in December from 3:00-4:15.

‚ÄčPrincipal's Message to Class of 2018

Pennington High School Class of 2018, many have stated in jest that, “You Can’t Get There from Here,” Indicating that the path might be too difficult to travel, so as to not even attempt such a journey.  I vehemently oppose that suggestion!  "YOU CAN GET THERE FROM HERE!"  Class, just as many past graduates from Pennington High have carved out a path for their success you are capable and prepared for that same opportunity. It can't be overstated that, "You Can Get There From Here," only if you are willing to put in the hard work and combine your intelligence, your aptitude, and your desires. 

Remember class that something great always comes at a price, a price of hard work, hard work that sometimes yieldsvictory and hard work that sometimes yields defeat, and many times yields persecution, but always yields the opportunity for Personal Growth.
